What weather sensors make up 4G stations?
Our precision sensors are continuously tested and meet European standards to ensure the most reliable weather data possible. 3 weather sensors can be connected to the same 4G base:
• The tipping bucket rain gauge accurately measures rainfall
• The air temperature and humidity sensor continuously monitors dry and wet bulb temperatures, humidity, and dew point.
• The wind meter measures wind speed and direction (including gusts) to plan phytosanitary treatments or sowing more efficiently.
• The wetness sensor is a high-precision measuring tool that measures leaf wetness, linked to the development of leaf diseases or frost.
• The capacitive probe measures the humidity and temperature of your soil at 3 different heights, to know the water needs and irrigate at the right time.
How do I install the weather station in my field?
Installation is crucial for accurate and precise weather readings. It's simple: the station comes ready to use, with all the necessary tools and an installation guide. The station should be placed on flat, clear ground, away from buildings, trees, or shaded areas. The wind meter should be facing north. A bubble level is included to ensure optimal positioning. Follow the installation guide or video to ensure you don't miss a step!
Do I need a subscription to use the Sencrop 4G station?
Yes, a subscription to the Sencrop application is required to access the various features:

- Historical and cumulative data
- Weather forecasts
- Personalised alerts

Why is measuring rainfall crucial in agriculture

Can I choose my weather sensors?
Yes. 4G stations are modular: you choose the weather sensors best suited to your crops or practices (rain gauge, hygrometry, temperature, wind, soil moisture, radiation, etc.). You can add or replace them at any time.
Do I need to maintain my station regularly?
Simple maintenance once or twice a year is sufficient and is recommended. The app will alert you if a sensor is clogged or if cleaning is necessary. You'll be guided step by step to maintain reliable measurements.
